A city motorway at sunset, packed with traffic, seen from a footbridge

Corsa Ombrel

The motorway at six, in one long orange haze.

A vertical spot for Meridian's drive-time show: the city's evening traffic from the footbridge, then from the driver's seat, where the listeners are.

Meridian’s drive-time show is for people stuck in traffic, so the spot had to start in traffic and stay there.

Two places to stand

The footbridge

From above, six lanes of brake lights turn into one long orange haze. It’s the view nobody in those cars ever gets.

The driver’s seat

Then we drop inside, where the listener actually is: wipers, a glowing dashboard and the radio turned low.

Cut to the clock

The spot is vertical and goes out at six, so I cut it on the minute marks the show uses for its traffic news.
